Course Description

. Breathe . Stretch . Meditate .

Educators are experiencing great stress and pressure and often do not get the chance to pause and reconnect with their purpose to rejuvenate. During the 6 weeks, we will read the book Stretch Yourself together and intentionally connect the concepts to our life within and beyond school through the three main parts: Breathe, Stretch and Meditate. his course will take you on an EdTech Yoga journey to breathe, stretch and meditate.

Who is this course for?

The course is for PK-12 teachers - part of the same school of partner schools enrolled in this book study - who are interested in diving into the concepts and practices around breathing (self-care, self-awareness), stretching (taking risks with caution when teaching) and meditating (reflecting on self, and providing quality feedback to others).

Learning Outcomes

This course is completely self-paced and allows participants to:

  • Reconnect aspirations and  access their internal sources of efficacy by taking time to pause and reflect on beliefs and identity

  • Use self-awareness tools (such as journaling and coaching tools) to deepen their teaching practice and find the internal resourcefulness to continue their learning journey beyond

The Learning Process

The course typically takes 6 weeks:

  • Week 1 -2 Breathe: We explore the need for self-awareness. We reconnect to our purpose as teachers and find our inner source of empowerment.
  • Week 3-4 Stretch: We investigate what cause us to fear failure and how we can overcome these obstacles and engage in quick prototyping. We experiment with intentional use of technology.
  • Week 5-6 Meditate: We take the time to receive and give feedback in ways that support ourselves and our learners and we share our learnings beyond.

The book study can be booked for a group of 15 people minimum.
